Let the Countdown Begin

Nicole at 39 weeks pregnant!
I had another appointment this morning and not much has changed. They did say I am now 1 cm dialated and 75% effaced, but that really doesn't mean much. Everything is completely ready for this baby at home so it can come anytime now and we would be o.k. with that! Believe me! I am still working this week but am having a hard time getting motivated to do anything! Hopefully Baby Schrage will make it's grand entrance any day now!

Ava posing as usual. She has been a bit sassy lately but I don't think it helps she has a little friend at daycare that acts exactly like her, or it could possibly be she takes after her mother? She is getting really excited for the baby and is determined its a girl. Originally her name was going to be Sally but she just recently changed it to Marley. She has told me though that she will still love the baby if its a boy.

Ava and Mommy before one of the last (hopefully) baby doctor appointments. The weekend must have really wore us out because we both did not want to get up this morning! We got to have one last night before baby with our good friends the Howe's and our neighbors Brad and Dawn with some good Mexican food Saturday night. You know your getting old though when your form of entertainment is watching the kids perfom and its late when you get home at 11:00!
We had a nice relaxing Mother's Day just spending it with Grandma and Grandpa at the farm. I made Rhubarb Crisp with Rhubarb from our backyard. Yummy! Needless to say it's gone already! Daddy got to play around on Grandpa's new 6 foot lawn mower, then couldn't get enough and had to hop on his new Snapper when we got home. If you drive by while Doug's mowing, don't feel bad pointing and laughing at a 6'4" man riding a midget lawn mower. It is pretty hilarious!

Ava and Charlie, the newest member of the Shook family. Sara brought home a rat terrier/ jack russell terrier puppy right after Christmas and Grandma and Grandpa actually let her keep him! I think he stole Grandpa's heart and that was the end of it. He pretty much runs their house now and Ava is very intent on "training" him. She always wants to go to Grandma's to teach him to concentrate. Obviously by this picture it isn't working so well!
