Lake Thunderhead Vacation

Friday night our family headed down to stay at our good family friend's the Loebig's beautiful house right on Lake Thunderhead, in northern Missouri. We brought Cooper with and everyone including him did pretty good on the 4 hour car ride. Quinnie got a little tired of being in her seat the last hour or so I did a Brittney Spears and let her sit on my lap... just kidding! This was our big family vacation this year since we didn't really have any other big trips planned. We had a great time hanging out with Grandma and Grandpa, Vicky and John, Adam, Sara, and the whole Pieper family. They brought their camper down and parked it right in the driveway. Pretty easy camping! All in all it was very relaxing all weekend and I even got to get a good nap in with Quinn one afternoon. I think that was the first nap I've taken all summer! She was so good and even got to go on her first pontoon ride. She told me later she loved it. Of course it just makes it harder than ever to go back to work on Monday and doing nothing all weekend!

Some of John and Vicky's neighbors had a paddle boat they let us borrow. We could not keep the kids off it! And yes it does hold up to 750 pounds if you were wondering. Ava and Lucas actually got into a little trouble one morning when they hopped on it right when they woke up in their jammies with no life jackets. Needless to say, they were "grounded" from the paddle boat the rest of the morning.

After a couple or several beers Doug and Adam decided they needed to check out what all the fuss was about with the paddle boat. They tried to make it to the party cove but ran out of beverages!

Ava and Aunt Sara going for a quick swim in the lake. After getting pushed off the boat into the water by Cole Robert she was all about jumping in off the side of the boat. I think she had her swimsuit on about 95% of the time we were down there.
