Get in the Car!

Only Laura would call me up and say, "Want to take a road trip?" When she is about 35 weeks pregnant. Most women at that stage would say, hell to the no. But not her, so we loaded up 5 kids in the van, threw some coloring books and board books in the back and headed down to Waterloo to check out the Phelps Youth Pavilion. I had to point out to her though that this new baby in her belly is really going to be cramping our style since our van is already maxed out. I guess there's only on thing to solve that..... Econoline.

What a great place to learn how to milk a cow right? Wrong! For Ava this looked like a great place to take a drink right out of the fake cow's teat. (I also just googled how to spell teat) She was SO thirsty she couldn't see the drinking fountain 10 feet away.

Heidi and Caden in the time machine. This place was pretty awesome. It was only $5 to get in, had the perfect amount of stuff for them to do, wasn't crowded, and was pretty easy to find thanks to my new GPS from Christmas.

After Quinn choked down a piece of rubber (fake dirt) and fell face first during her car ride her and Mommy found a little corner that was just for babies. See all the padding?

After a fun filled day we had to make a pit stop in Charles City to visit this little cutie. Landon James Lenehan made a surprise arrival four weeks early. His mama, Jessicca (one of my oldest friends) and his new daddy Jared did a pretty awesome job considering he was suppose to be born in Des Moines and had a four hour drug free labor. He is quite the cute little peanut!

When we came home this is what we found.... oh yes did I mention the Howe's are also mid-remodel of their entire upstairs?

Then we decided to round out the night with taking overly exhausted kids to the Prom Grand March. What an amazing idea! Here is Aunt Sara with her boyfriend Dylan strutting her stuff.
